How To Join Mucs

There are no auditions, and we are open to every one regardless of whether you are a Melbourne Universtity student, your age, or even your singing ability. The best way is to come along to some rehearsals and see what you think of the choir, both the music and the people. If you like it, become a member and sing in our concerts.

The choir rehearses every Wednesday night at St. Mary's College West Hall (click for map), Tin Alley, off Swanston street. The rehearsals are from 6:45pm to 9:30pm.

A Social MUCS

Coffee and Pub
after each rehearsal, we either venture to another member's house for coffee and snacks or to the local pub. Occasionally we break into song from our songbook which spans classical, jazz and "pub" musical genres.

Lifts Home
At each rehearsal we try to arrange lifts for those otherwise left with public transport.

Rehearsal Camps
three times a year we spend a weekend away from the city at a luxurious camp-site to dedicate time to rehearsing for our concerts, and have some fun too.
