Hear a feast of magnificent music, performed by the internationally acclaimed Harvard-Radcliffe
Collegium Musicum Choir (direct from Harvard University, USA) in concert with Melbourne's
premier university choir in a virtuosic recital of works by composers including Palestrina, J.S. Bach,
Brahms, Bruckner, Rachmaninov, contemporary American composers and a special performance of:
John Rutter's Gloria
The Harvard-Radcliffe Collegium Musicum has acquired a reputation as one of America's finest
university choirs, admired for its magnificent sound and wide-ranging repertoire. This concert
marks its only major appearance in Melbourne on the choir's first tour to Australia.
Proudly hosting the HRCM choir will be the 100 voices of Melbourne University Choral Society,
a group that has been bringing its youthful energy and musical skill to great works since 1939.
Together in the stunning acoustics of St Patrick's Cathedral the two choirs will present an
unforgettable evening of choral music, ranging from European masterpieces of earlier centuries,
to thrilling music written in our own time.
